The beach is at the exit of the gorge of Agiofarago, close to Kali Limenes. You can access it by hiking through the gorge, for about 25 minutes, or by boat from Kali Limenes, Matala or Agia Galini. The beach has no catering, so plan for food and water.

The landscape is impressive with high, imposing rocks, small pebbles, and crystal-clear waters. To the east of the beach, between some large rocks is the Vourvoulitis lake, that connects underground with the sea.

In Agiofarago, the nearby gorge, hermits lived for many centuries inside caves.
