Church of Agia Kyriaki in Zaros

The temple is located within the village of Zaros, 46km away from Heraklion.
It is a two-aisled church. The south aisle dates to the 14th century and the north between the 17th and 18th centuries. The church has an impressive wood-carved iconostasis (a wall of icons separating the nave from the altar in an orthodox church) and byzantine icons.

The project is implemented through the Regional Development Fund of Crete
