The plateau is between the villages of Handras and Armeni, at an altitude of 650m and is connected through a valley with the plateau of Ziros.

On the plateau grow fruit trees and vineyards. Notable are the metal windmills used to pump water and irrigate the fields.

Within walking distance from the village of Handras is the abandoned Venetian settlements of Voila with the characteristic tower, and Etia with the mansion De Mezzo.
