The beach lies at the exit of the gorge of Hohlakia. You can access it by hiking through the gorge for 1.5 hours, or via a part of the European E4 path that starts at Zakros.

The access is difficult, so the beach remains secluded and very charming. There are turquoise waters and a nearby wetland that fills with water from the gorge during winter.

The beach has no catering, so visitors need to plan for food and water.
