Linoseli scree
This scree (a mass of small loose stones) is at the western part of Samaria gorge, next to the Linoseli spring, at an altitude of 1450m. It is an impressive mass of accumulated clastic rocks. It is created by the disintegration of materials on the slopes of the peaks of Gigilos that slide into lower grounds creating successive layers of rubble, big chips of stone and boulders. The resulting sediments function like a river of solid material that ends up in Samaria gorge.
