The plateau is between Ano Zakros and the abandoned village of Skalia.

To cross it, take the geo-route that starts from the village of Ano Zakros, climbs steep slopes, reaches the plateau with its small wetlands, and ends at the old picturesque village of Skalia. The route is 4km long and relatively accessible. You can cross it within 1.5 hours, and it reaches the European hiking path E4.
