Beaches
Tripiti

The beach is south of the village of Vasiliki, at the exit of the gorge that carries the waters of the Agiosavitis River. You can access it from Lendas through a 6km long dirt road, or from Vasiliki, through a 9km long dirt road with many turns and narrow passages. Although access to it is demanding, the unique beauty of the landscape will reward you.

Tripiti (meaning hollow), was named after the many caves that exist within the gorge. The beach is large with small pebbles, turquoise waters, and a few tamarisks for shade.

On the hill to the northeast of the beach you can find the ruins of an early Minoan settlement, with a magnificent view of the Libyan Sea.

There is a small tavern that caters to visitors.

The project is implemented through the Regional Development Fund of Crete
