This gorge develops at the foothills of Psiloritis, near the village of Vorizia. Through the gorge you can reach the plateau of Nida and the Ideon Antron.
The route has a length of 3km and is uphill and narrow, with kermes oak trees set in an impressive arid landscape. Then the gorge opens, and the vegetation thickens, with Cretan endemic plants like the famous dittany.
