The refuge is in the eastern foothills of Psiloritis at an altitude of 1100m, and you can reach it on foot. The European E4 path passes through the refuge and leads to the peaks of Koudouni and Gyristi, to the forest of Rouvas and the Nida plateau.
The refuge can accommodate 30 people. For visits or bookings, contact the Rethymno Mountaineering Club.
