Beaches
Agios Pavlos

The beach is at the exit of two gorges: Eligias and Sapounas, 3km to the east of Agia Roumeli. You can reach it by boat or by hiking from Agios Ioannis, Loutro, or Agia Roumeli (quickest route: one hour). There is a tavern on the beach.
The landscape of blue waters and green pine trees from the nearby forest of Selouda is captivating. The beach is named after the small Byzantine church of Saint Paul that exists on it. It is believed that Saint Paul was stranded on this beach. The church was founded by Agios Ioannis o Xenos in the 10th century and was decorated with Byzantine paintings in the 13th century.

The project is implemented through the Regional Development Fund of Crete
