The gorge is near the village of Exo Mouliana and ends at the rocky beach of Richti. The route is accessible, with a length of 3km. Crossing it requires about four hours.

The gorge is fascinating with its lush vegetation and abundant waters. Plane trees, ivies, and other climbing plants, along with an abundance of aromatic herbs, make up one of eastern Crete’s most beautiful green landscapes.

Among the attractions of the route are an old stone bridge on the bank of the river, and the Richtis waterfall with its small lake.
