The beach is in a creek south of the village of Xerokambos.

It is surrounded by impressive clay slopes. These are soft sedimentary rocks of the Pliocene, that have a large clay content and are used for argilotherapy. Clay can exfoliate, help with blood circulation, and treat skin irritations.
