The gorge is located south of the peak of Kofinas, and its waters flow through to the impressive beach of Eligia.

The route starts at 520m above sea level, between the villages of Kapetaniana and Agios Ioannis, and it needs about four hours to cross. It requires experience and technical equipment. The longest descent is 60m high, while you can bypass the smaller ones with a via ferrata (path with metal footholds and wire ropes).

You should visit the gorge during summer when the river dries up.
