The gorge lies to the east of Asterousia and starts from the plain of Achendria, in an area called Faragouli (little gorge). It is an impressive place with beautiful geological formations and a great variety of rocks.

The route is accessible, and it forms five waterfalls just before reaching the sea. The last of these is called Lichnistis and has given its name to the gorge. Its total length is 640m, and it takes about three hours to cross. It is suitable for novice canyoners.
