The gorge is located at the foot of the peak of Kofinas, at the location of Sopata.

The route starts at an altitude of 1000m and ends at the beach of Koudoumas Monastery. Crossing the gorge requires technical equipment due to its 18 descents with intense slopes. Along the route there are cypresses, kermes oaks and pine trees.
